Psychological Tests

Murdock always hated tests. Especially the inkblocktests. In two episodes of the A-team Murdock had to take psychological tests like the inkblocktest (pros and cons and waiting for insane wayne). Murdock always guessed the answers because he said he had no idea what to make of the pictures.

Would you like to try yourself? Let’s have a go, the answer is written underneath each photo so no peaking, just try it first before you look, no cheating, well unless your name is Templeton Peck, than it’s alright.

Let’s see if your results are better than Murdock’s, and don’t forget Face always says: no guessing, there is no right or wrong answer just tell me what you see!

Now what does this look like?

Explanation: Most people will see a butterfly. Murdock’s answer: I don’t know, until B.A. and Face got impatient and B.A. yelled it’s a butterfly. Murdock than said he also saw that. Then Hannibal joint into the conversation. Hannibal said it could also be a camel. Then Murdock decided it was a camel because Hannibal would know best. This is the original text from the episode: Murdock: I know this, don’t tell me, don’t tell me! BA: It’s a butterfly fool, It’s a butterfly! Murdock: It’s a butterfly, it’s a butterfly, I had that. I would have had that. Hannibal: There is no right or wrong to an inktblocktest guys. It could be a butterfly, or it could be a camel. Murdock: It’s a camel! Yes that’s what it is, I see a camel.

Now what does this look like?

Explanation: Most people will see a horse or dragon with two heads. Murdock’s answer: a dumptruck and B.A. will give the “correct” answer again. This is the original text from the episode: Murdock: Oh Boy, this one again, let me think, what do I see? I see a dumptruck. Face: No guessing Murdock just say what you see. (Murdock now starts explaining why he has to be retested and Face and B.A. become impatient again) Face: So you wanne go with the dumptruck on this one? BA: It’s like a horse with two heads! Murdock: It’s a double headed horsie? I had that, I would have had that (he is completely desperate now, falls back into his seat and bury’s his face in his hands).

Now which picture doesn’t belong?

Explanation: The car doesn’t belong because the other three objects are musical instruments. Murdock’s answer: the violin does not belong. This is the original text from the episode: Murdock: The violin don’t go you see. The violin don’t make as much noise as the tuba or the trumpet or a racecar. Face: Well, there is a certain crazy logic to that huh. Murdock: believe it!

Now which picture doesn’t belong?

Explanation: The sadle doesn’t belong because the rest of them are animals. Murdock’s answer: The dog and the cat don’t belong. This is the original text from the episode: Face: which of the pictures doesn’t belong? Murdock: That’s easy, the cat and dog don’t belong. BA: It’s the saddle fool! The rest of them are animals. Murdock: That’s what YOU say, but everybody knows that a horse and saddle go together because a saddle goes on a horse. And a dog and a cat don’t go together because a dog and cat fight. Who’s the fool now?!

What’s the mathematical significance of these?

Explanation: The right answer is all of them, they are parallel and perpendiculas. Murdock had no idea though. Murdock’s answer: Uhm none of them? This is the original text from the episode: Face: What’s the mathematical significance of these? Murdock: Well, well, that’s a tough one, Face they are not going to ask that one, go to the next one. Face: Just answer the question! Murdock: uhm none of them?. Face: ALL OF THEM, they are parallel and perpendiculas see? Murdock: I would have got it. I just have a lot on my mind.
